Parish Pastoral Council is commonly referred to as the Parish Council. This advisory body, comprised of parishioners and Parish Clergy, meets regularly with the Pastor to offer advice and assistance on the short- and long-term needs of the Parish.

A Parish Council is to be established in each parish. The Pastor presides over it, and through it, the Christian faithful, along with those who share in the pastoral care of the parish in virtue of their office, give their help in fostering pastoral activity. The council possesses a consultative vote only.

Minutes of all meetings are recorded by the secretary and filed as a permanent record of the parish.
