Living Rosary
WHAT IS THE LIVING ROSARY?
The Living Rosary is a prayer community founded in 1826 by the Servant of God Pauline Jaricot in Lyon, France. It was officially approved by Pope Gregory XVI through the apostolic constitution Benedicentes Domino in 1832. In Poland, this devotion became known by the end of the 19th century.
At Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, the first Rosary Circle was established in 1991. Today, the Living Rosary comprises over 240 people, organized into nine Rosary Circles (Roses). We gather on the first Sunday of each month at 10:30 AM to exchange rosary mysteries in a spirit of unity and prayer.
PRAYER INTENTIONS
Members of the Living Rosary in the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel pray:
– For children, marriages, and families
– For the souls in purgatory from among our families and community
– For our parish and priests
– For peace in the world and the intentions of the Holy Father
WHY JOIN THE LIVING ROSARY?
– Daily prayer in spiritual unity with the entire group
– By praying just one decade a day, you share in the spiritual merits of the entire rosary
– Opportunity to receive plenary indulgences (e.g., on the day of enrollment and during specific Church feasts)
– The community continues praying for its members even after death
MEMBERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES

– Participation in monthly formation meetings and exchange of mysteries –
in our parish, held every first Sunday of the month at 10:30 AM

– Promoting devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary by example and apostolic activity, especially through the rosary
– Courageously standing up for the Catholic faith
